Petition Action

We want the Govt to explain why no SUPERMAJORITY was set for the EU Referendum.

Petition Details

We want to know why govt did not agree that the EU referendum should have a super-maj or a devolution lock and at what point did the referendum become mandatory without them?
We want it to answer factually the points raised in the attached letter to Michael Gove about corruption in the referendum.

Additional Information

David Lidington rejected a super-maj because the ref was advisory. (Confirmed by the Supreme Court and in Briefing Paper on the Bill)

The status of the ref is further called into question by corruption, as set out in the attached letter

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
