LGBTQ+ sex education to be made compulsory in schools.
The Government need to make LGBTQ+ sex education a compulsory syllabus when teaching sex education to pupils. Currently, only opposite-sex relationships are taught in schools and this is leaving a huge amount of young people without the information and education they need and deserve.
As a young LGBTQ+ person, to see myself represented and to be educated on topics relating to sex and relationships, it would have benefited me significantly in terms of identity and feeling comfortable in my own skin, and I can confidently say that countless amounts of other young people will agree with me.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. Schools are already required to teach LGBT relationships as part of relationships education. You can find out more here:

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
