Poor countries must get fair, prompt and equitable access to vaccine doses.
Vaccine hoarding ‘keeps pandemic burning’, WHO warns. It is immoral and we must demonstrate empathy and solidarity with our global family. We must support vaccine production capacity and vaccination roll out in these regions with the same sense of urgency that we rightly feel in the UK.
Uk government must be seen to be compassionate and equitable. Other countries identified with less respect for human rights are leading the way on vaccine exports to poorer nations. Time to stand by our timeless rhetoric.
