More transparency regarding government contracts during a national emergency.
It's insulting that contracts using tax payer money is not going to companies based on merit and the ability to help the country in our battle against covid-19, rather to those close to government officials. There needs to be more transparency and checks and balances in approval of contracts.
I would like the Parliament to investigate this further in order to hold the government to account for their actions. People deserve to have the assurance that we are all in this together and that out governments response has the best interests of the public first every time contracts are giving, in order to save as many lives as possible.
