Do more to tackle dog theft
Create a plan to tackle the rise in dog theft from walkers and from back gardens and buildings. Make it more difficult for van loads of stolen dogs to be transported abroad.
Britain’s dog owners and walkers are becoming increasingly afraid to walk their dogs on pavements, roads, footpaths and public parks. They cannot even safely let their dog in their own back garden unattended. There is clearly no deterrent to these thieves and it appears they are becoming more brazen and extreme in their tactics and attacks. Britain is supposed to be a civilised country, not one that people are becoming afraid to walk the public highways in daylight.
