Petition Action

Allow partners to see each other in national lockdown if living apart

Petition Details

Allow couples/partners who cannot be in lockdown together to see each other without facing any penalties, by exempting them from rules limiting household mixing.

Additional Information

Let’s face it, this lockdown is lonely. Some people have been stuck in their house for days on end without seeing another person. Missing family and friends is extremely hard. I am a student, who is in lockdown in uni halls. I haven’t seen my partner in over a month. I am missing him immensely. I know I’m not the only one in this situation. These lockdowns have already had quite the effect on mental health, with the government providing little support. Maybe this is a way to help some people.
