Agree terms of reference and start date of the Government Covid Inquiry
The Government have agreed in principle to hold a Public Inquiry into the Government's handling of the Covid19 pandemic stating that this will take place at some point in the future
With the Government now making long term plans it's even more critical to agree terms of reference and a start date
It's accepted that we will have to live with Covid19 for many years to come
Government is continuing with long term planning
It is therefore vital to demonstrate that any policy errors are not repeated and this can only be achieved via independent scrutiny with a structured public inquiry to ensure we are fully prepared for any future pandemics
Clearly despite assurances we were not fully prepared for Covid19 despite assurances from the Health Secretary and Prime Minister
