Petition Action

Delay the London ULEZ congestion zone for another year due to COVID-19 crisis

Petition Details

To delay the London ULEZ zone until October 2022 because many small businesses have not been able to get ULEZ compliant vehicles in time due to the COVID-19 crisis.

Additional Information

The London Mayoral and local elections were delayed for an extended year due to the COVID-19 crisis so it seems fair the government should delay the London ULEZ zone extension for another year to allow many small businesses time to get ULEZ compliant vehicles.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Decisions relating to low emission zones in London are a matter for the Mayor of London and the London Assembly, not the UK Government.

You could start a petition to the London Assembly calling for a further delay to the extension of the ULEZ, if that is something you'd like to do. You can find out more about how to do this here: www.london.gov.uk/about-us/london-assembly/petitions.
