Make basic life skills(finance and mortgages) etc mandatory in secondary schools
Add life skills to education system so that people have the best chances of surviving adult life free from debt and other financial difficulties, once left school.
So many people post-16 face the challenges of adult life with little to no knowledge on how to maintain a healthy finance, and how to buy a house for example. These to me are seen as basics on how to stay free from debt and overwhelmingness of a newly formed adult with little help or teaching.
