Include women’s health into the school curriculum.
Implement women’s health into sexual health education. This should include what’s normal, what’s not normal, discharge, Thrush, bacterial vaginitis, polly cystic ovarian syndrome, endometriosis, fibroids and infertility.
As a women we are taught very little about our own bodies and are often too embarrassed to ask. Girls and women need to know what’s normal and when to ask for help.
1 in 10 women’s have endometriosis and 1 in 10 women have PCOS but it estimated that this number is most likely a lot higher and 50% of women go undiagnosed. When these conditions are left untreated it can cause intense pain, permanent damage, loss of organs and infertility.
