Give birdwatching the same Covid restriction exemptions as fishing and hunting
Spending time in nature has proven benefits for mental health, therefore those wish to birdwatch, naturewatch and photograph nature should be allowed to do so while following social distancing rules and keeping local, as you can when fishing or hunting.
Put in specific exemptions, like those for fishing and hunting, to Covid lockdown restrictions, that allow local birdwatching, nature watching and photography, subject to social distancing rules.
This will give clear guidelines for those following and the police enforcing them.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. There are no specific exemptions for fishing or hunting in the current Covid-19 regulations. The law does not specifiy what is included as essential exercise, but a number of reserves are currently open for people who are undertaking their essential exercise.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
