RFA Long Service medal date of qualification
Petition HM the Queen to alter the date of qualification for the RFA LS &GC medal from August 2000 to prior.
I served in the RFA from 1956 to 1990 so was not eligable even after
34 years.
People today are being awarded the medal after only 20 years service.

The Royal Fleet Auxiliary Service Medal was established by royal warrant, and decisions about eligibility for the medal are a matter for the crown, not the Government or House of Commons.
