Hold a public inquiry in to the Govt’s Covid response procurement process.
To determine the legality of the Government’s Covid response procurement process, whether members of the government acted appropriately in relation to the awarding of contracts, and to ensure all contracts have appropriate oversights to ensure transparent operation of the contracts.
There is a lack of scrutiny and therefore transparency in relation to the awarding of contracts and ongoing management and oversight of these contracts and the Covid response procurement process. Are taxpayers getting value for money? Have government officials and ministers acted appropriately? Have conflicts of interest been addressed? Has the Law been broken in some instances? Who are the people who have profited and did they receive favourable treatment within an unfair procurement process?
