Refund for college bus/travel fees for the time colleges have been shut.
My sister & many others have been paying out for a bus service that hasn’t been used. For many, this money can mean a lot during these times of uncertainty & could possibly help many families put food on the table.
There has been no advice or guidance on this matter. When our mum got into contact with the college, they said it’s non refundable. There should be some support to either help pay this fee in the time the service has been unused or the fee for this term should be made refundable!
You wouldn’t pay for any other service without expectations on what you should receive so why is this any different?

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. This is a matter for colleges and transport companies.
You could start a petition calling for the Government to provide people with a grant to cover their expenses while in-person education isn't available, if that's what you'd like to see happen.
