Petition Action

Cancel the unviable HS2 project and invest in Superfast Broadband infrastructure

Petition Details

The Broadband infrastructure is sadly lacking compared with other 1st World countries, the huge investment aimed at lowering journey times between London and Birmingham by a few minutes would be better spent on fibre to the home which would benefit everyone rather than a few travellers.

Additional Information

The HS2 project had a dubious business model at its inception, now people are predominantly working from home it should be evident that the cost benefit analysis has changed, this money could increase broadband speeds for the whole country.
