The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you want the franchise for UK elections to change, but it's not clear if you want just EU citizens to be barred from voting in UK elections, or if you only want British citizens to be entitled to vote in UK elections. At present non-UK nationals can vote in various elections, whether they are EU citizens or not.

We can also only accept petitions that request actions the UK Government or House of Commons is directly responsible for, and the franchise for some elections is set by the devolved administrations for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what changes you would like to be made to the franchise for UK elections.
