Supporting Students Financially during the Covid Pandemic.
I would like the government to discuss and implement a financial package for University students.
The government has supported businesses through the pandemic with various grants and the furlough scheme, yet university students I feel have been forgotten about
Students have paid full tuition fees for most courses which have been provided online therefore not getting value for money, plus they are having to pay for a full academic years of accommodation costs when most have spent minimal time at their student residence due to lockdowns and restrictions.
So I would like the government to come up with a financial package to discount tuition fees and students to recover accommodation costs during the pandemic to ease their debt burden.
