Changing the Disability Process - changes to the application process

Petition Details

I am therefore proposing changes to the existing process of applying and renewing for Blue Badges/Disability Living Allowance & PIP, in order to better support disabled people. I have Achondroplasia which is a condition which does not change but to include other disabilities which do not change.

Additional Information

Every 3 years i have to reapply or renew i and others have to experience the stress of form filing and then wait for the approval of the application although there has been no change in their original circumstances. I am proposing a simpler better way. I feel people with physical disabilities that will not change should automatically qualify for lifetime exemption.

Blue Badges are automatically awarded to people if they receive certain rates of particular benefits, but local councils, not the Government or House of Commons, are responsible for deciding who is eligible for a blue badge.
