Petition Action

Every Superstore to provide disabled trolleys. More than one per store.

Petition Details

I have a 7 year old son with special needs. On many occasions I haven’t been able to go food shopping because my son doesn’t fit in a trolley anymore as he is 7!! He needs a disabled trolley but Sadly not all supermarkets provide them. And the ones that do only supply the one!

Additional Information

I have previously been in contact with 5 supermarkets asking about their trolley availability, With not much luck.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. It's already a requirement for businesses to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that disabled people can access their premises, but it's for businesses and the courts to decide exactly what is necessary.
