A national memorial day to celebrate those we lost from Covid and other causes.
Set aside a day when shops, schools and businesses are closed and we can celebrate their lives and grieve for them at national memorial event(s) and in local or even family gatherings.
We couldn't see them in hospitals/care homes before we lost them, we couldn't attend their funerals, we couldn't grieve for them as families and friends. Their lives deserve to be celebrated and marked with a show of national respect.
