Increase funding for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services

Petition Details

Provide more funding to CAMHS (child and adolescent mental health services). Additional funding should be used for better training and more staff, as well as more sites to make it more accessible.

Additional Information

More funding will help there be more training and therefore more CAMHS workers which will shorten the waiting lists which are currently very high. This is crucial due to the high rates of suicide attempts by teenagers and children. Better training should improve the quality of treatment/help so they will not need to stay in CAMHS as long, which will further help with waiting lists.
