Give young people with a negative test the same rights as a vaccine passport
The government should legislate that a negative covid test must provide equal rights to a vaccine.
This should be accompanied by free covid tests for adults that have not been offered a vaccine.
We may not be able to stop proof of an NHS vaccine (i.e. a ‘passport’ or ‘certificate’) being used to give vaccinated people greater freedoms, e.g. to travel internationally, or to attend events in the UK.
However, until everyone has been offered a vaccine, this will give the old an unfair advantage over the young.
As a temporary measure, legislation must be introduced giving (young) people with a negative covid test the same rights as (old) people who have been vaccinated.
