Petition Action

Reinstate face to face person doctor /patients appointments again

Petition Details

To reinstate patient/ doctor appointments face to face in person again.

Additional Information

There are many people who are not able to use techno and who do not own computers or smart phones, it is important that as patients, we are seen in person by our GP's for certain medical/health problems, some people are deaf and struggle on the phone. Doctors earn a lot of money and we the patients should be allowed to visit our doctor in person to be seen for face to face to appointments, even if there are limited amount of patients per day.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise.

The decision whether or not to offer a face to face appointment is a clinical decision for individual doctors and healthcare providers, not the Government or Parliament. There is no ban on face-to-face appointments.

You may wish to raise this issue with the NHS directly. You can find out more about who to contact here: www.nhs.uk/using-the-nhs/about-the-nhs/how-to-complain-to-the-nhs/
