'The Economics of Biodiversity: The Dasgupta review' - please act
We call on the government to act urgently on the recommendations in the paper: 'The Economics of Biodiversity: The Dasgupta review', which was issued in February 2021 by the UK Treasury department. Quote from p489 - "we need also to change our production and consumption patterns"
The Dasgupta Biodiversity Review shows us a way forward to address the accelerating ecological collapse in our environment. We need an awareness campaign for institutions to transition their thinking as recommended in this review. The government need to show leadership to the rest of the world on this issue. The existential threat from global ecological overshoot is growing daily and our contribution to this global problem is significant.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
You'll need to set out exactly what changes or recommendations you'd like to be implemented.
