Make the new Model Tenancy Agreement legally binding

Petition Details

Make the new Model Tenancy Agreement legally binding to stop landlords putting a blanket ban on well behaved pets.

Additional Information

Currently, just 7% of private landlords advertise pet friendly properties, meaning many people struggle to find suitable homes. In some cases, this has meant people have had to give up their pets all together. I have personally experienced rejection due to having 2 well behaved kittens, even though I am a very good tenant and know many more people who struggle finding a suitable home due to this.
