Petition Action

Prioritise college students and exam years 9-11 in phased reopening of schools

Petition Details

Make sure college and key stage 4 students are confirmed to return first after leaked rumours have been released of primary school kids are going back before us

Additional Information

We value our education and while I’m going to say this nicely it may not turn out well for the conservatives in the next general election with it being a labour landslide and don’t forget you’ve already messed up our futures of GCSE leavers #2020#2021

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

Under the Government's roadmap out of lockdown, all students and children, including college and key stage 4 students as well as primary school children, will return to face-to-face learning from 8 March.

You could start a new petition calling for secondary school students to return to schools before primary school students, if that's something you'd like to see happen.
