Cancel alarming and distressing Coronavrius adverts on social media
Alarming and distressing adverts are being presented regularly on social media of people struggling to breath or hospitalised. Such adverts should no longer be run on social media, and blame should no longer be passed off to the general public for the outbreak.
The general population is doing everything it can to obey the rules produced by the government regarding the coronavirus pandemic, including 'lockdowns' and tier restrictions. Guidance which is repeatedly unclear and difficult to interpret. 97% of people have been found to be following current restrictions (Fancourt, et al, 2020) yet adverts alarming and distressing adverts are being presented to people following legislation. Increasing fear and anxiety in a trepidatious situation.
