For government to look into funding research for a childhood vaccine for COVID19

Petition Details

I would like the government to look into funding research for a childhood vaccine for COVID-19 especially for the clinically vulnerable children

Additional Information

Myself, along with thousands of other parents and carers have a clinically extremely vulnerable child and feel this would give us hope to get some sort of normality back for our children through this pandemic.

We have been shielding our Son since March 2020 and I feel the vulnerable children under 16 have been forgotten about.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), a Government-funded health and care research funder, has opened a study to assess the safety and immune response to the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine in children and young people.
