Bring in mandatory life sentences for online grooming of a child

Petition Details

We call upon the Government to change the law to increase the sentence for online grooming of a child for sex to a mandatory life sentence without the possibility of parole.

Additional Information

The recent television programme Undercover Police: Hunting Paedophiles showed the worrying and disturbing presence of individuals who prey on children online.
The law MUST be strengthened to make the mandatory sentence upon conviction for the online grooming of a child to sex to one of life without the possibility of parole.
Children MUST be protected.
