Petition Action

Dog Free parks

Petition Details

To have signs for dog free parks or certain parks that are dog free

Additional Information

There is little enforcement of dog’s littering and parks cannot be really enjoyed without dog running around. People want to exercise , take their family , have picnics to enjoy themselves without dogs running around leading to enjoyment and safety issues. There will be more people coming to park for exercise etc if there were dog free parks.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Decisions about local parks, including whether to allow dogs, is a matter for individual local authorities, not the Government or House of Commons.

You could raise this issue with a local councillor, who represents you. You can use this page to find out who your local councillors are, and how to contact them: www.gov.uk/find-your-local-councillors
