Give NHS staff a pay rise that recognises their incredible commitment.
Revise the proposed 1% pay rise for NHS staff. Initiatives such as the furlough scheme are fantastic, but such generosity versus a 1% pay rise for our amazing nurses is incomprehensible.
Nurses, and other NHS staff, have put themselves at risk every day just by turning up to work; they have saved countless lives; they have comforted the dying when their families could not; some have lost their lives to Covid. They have gone above and beyond and a 1% pay rise is insulting given their outstanding, and selfless, contribution.
