Substantially increase the proposed 1% pay rise for our NHS staff.
The proposed 1% pay rise for our NHS staff is a disgrace. They have protected our nation and saved our lives. The government, our government need to reflect our gratitude into a meaningful pay increase far beyond 1%.
This should not even be a topic for Parlimentary discussion - this pay increase should have been a top budget priority. The very fact it was even agreed to be a pay rise of 1% is incomprehensible. The nation does not have the stomach for such callous & calculated treatment of those who have sacrificed the most. Quite literally risking their lives, sacrificing their time, sleep, families and own mental health to help, serve and protect our nation. Without doubt, the government need to act..
