Because the thefts of dogs are reaching new heights, dogs are being stolen daily, owners are at risk from thieves working in gangs, they are organised, they are watching our movements, catching dog owners unaware, using physical force against dog owners trying to stop them taken their family dogs...someone will be killed soon if more is not done, will you wait until this happens before you act ?

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you are concerned about the sale of stolen dogs, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

We have published the following petitions, which you might like to sign:

Introduce a National Pet Exchange Register: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/328081

Increase minimum and maximum sentences for pet theft: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/563711

Make it illegal to sell dogs without a licence: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/571526

If you want the Government to ban the sale of dogs online we could accept a petition requesting that. If you want the Government to do something else you could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government to do.
