Agree a far improved offer for NHS workers than a pitiful 1% pay rise.
The government should agree a far better deal than the pitiful 1% increase for NHS workers.
Amongst other options the government should seriously consider diverting/raising money by ending the stamp-duty holiday which primarily benefits property sellers and landlords.
The UK's core workers, including NHS workers, have always made an incredibly underrated contribution to the life and operation of the nation.
The ongoing response to the pandemic underlines their importance and our need to far better value them.
The nation's recent experience has lifted hopes that we can and should do better. This is an opportunity to change the record.
Maintaining support that simply transfers money to landlords should be scrapped to support the far more deserving.
