Petition Action

Recognise the dedication of NHS and social care staff during the covid epidemic.

Petition Details

Make an ex gratia payment in 2021 to all NHS staff and social care workers equivalent to 5% of each individual's pay. These people have worked tirelessly, at great personal cost, some even at the cost of their lives. Our government owes them a substantial response.

Additional Information

The 1% uplift proposed in the latest budget is a slap in the face for all those whom the country has depended on during this extraordinary time. Citizens of the United Kingdom admire the NHS more than any other UK institution, and feel no sympathy for a penny pinching attitude at this moment in the country's history. Let us show true gratitude for true sacrifice.
