Petition Action

Give NHS frontline staff a share of the £350 Million a week saving from Brexit.

Petition Details

Remember the big Red Bus with ‘Let’s give our NHS the £350 million the EU takes every week’. That would cover £50 a week easily. It’s enough for all employees of NHS to get £290 a week at least.

Additional Information

Give to those earning less than the national average salary. A chance to level up Britain.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

The Government has already introduced legislation which would increase funding for the NHS by £33.9 billion a year (in cash terms) by 2023/24. You can find out more here:
www.gov.uk/government/news/nhs-funding-bill-enters-parliament.

We're not sure whether you want to see an additional £350 million per week allocated specifically to fund a pay rise for NHS staff, or whether you'd like this to come from the additional funding the Government has already announced.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You might also like to sign the following petitions:
