Let Britian democratically decide if they want a monarchy. Hold a referendum
We the people of the Great Britian believe that it is our democratic right to vote for our head of state.
It makes no sense why in the 21st a country like Britain should still subscribe to such an outdated and primitive notion such as birth right. Let us have a referendum and let the best side win
The Monarchy cost taxpayers in the United Kingdom £69.2 million in 2019/20. This money could be put to better use to improve the nation’s ailing healthcare system, or spent on schools and feeding hungry children - but no.
Contrary to popular belief, the monarch does hold real power. Just because Elizabeth II has exercised restraint, for the most part, doesn’t guarantee her decedents will and how does one hold an unelected official accountable if what they’re doing is technically legal?
