Reduce the sovereign grant and give our NHS colleagues better pay rises
The sovereign grant in 2019 was £82 million. This is excessive and the money needs to be better used to help us keep the talented hardworking NHS staff who have been our heroes in 2020. The act preventing a fall in the sovereign grant needs to be abolished.
We need more of our taxpayer money to go towards the NHS to help protect our hospitals and pay the hardworking doctors and nurses better. The sovereign grant feels excessive and needs a tighter budget put around it given the challenging times we’re in. Reduce it to absolute minimum. Stop some royals squandering money while our heroes get a pittance of a pay rise
