Raise income tax by 1% to fund a 5% average pay rise for NHS healthcare staff
Debate this proposal and offer a free vote on the income tax increase and pay award. Abide by and enact the majority decision reached by MPs.
Properly recognise the value of NHS staff who have been at the forefront of the response to the coronavirus pandemic and identify clearly and openly the way this will be funded. Accept that this is a policy decision and not an economically constrained decision.
