Legalise purchase, sale, possession and use of pepper spray for self-defence.
Section 5(1)(b) of the Firearms Act 1968 prohibits individuals from possessing or using pepper spray in the UK. In particular, women of the UK wish to legalise the possession and use of pepper spray for self-defence.
Legalise the possession and use of pepper spray as a self-defence tool in the UK and remove it as a banned item. Women in particular should not be left unable to protect themselves and have a right to reclaim some semblance of personal safety whilst walking alone.
