Repeal or reform the Mental Health Act 1983
Seriously review the morality of the entire bill
From the process of sectioning to the use of pharmaceuticals as well as the taking of property and possessions of those detained
I believe the act is both outdated and highly immoral. There is a lack of care and humanity in the hospitals where these things take place and there are a number of missing people who’s data has mysteriously disappeared from the system without explanation.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do to reform or replace the Act.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do, such as hold a review into the Act.
