Stop Harassment/Trolling of Celebrities by the British Media and Press.
Whilst freedom of speech is of course necessary, it has become clear that the press and media need parameters, regarding objectivity, discrimination, bias and harassment, to operate within.
First and foremost there have now been a number of suicides from celebrities/people living in the public eye caused by a deterioration in their mental health due to the continuous attacking of them in the press and media, and specifically social media.
It has become all too common place for the general public as well as celebrities to be trolled on social media platforms but how can we expect a change in behaviour when the example is being set by major British press and media channels

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. Harrasment is already illegal.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
