Section 60 in London to be in place all the time
Give more power to the police forces for stop and search in London until the huge number of stabbings will go down .
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Section 60 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 is still in effect. It is therefore not clear what you want the Government to do. Decisions about when to use stop and search powers, including those provided under Section 60 of this Act, are a matter for individual police forces, not the Government or House of Commons.
You could start a petition calling for a specific change to be made to the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act, but it would need to be clear what change you want to be made.
