Make it mandatory that the PM and his ministers correct misleading statements
If a minister (or the PM) is accused of misleading the Commons, it will be mandatory that this is investigated by the Speaker's Office. If it is deemed that parliament was misled, the minister (or PM) should be informed and must return to the Commons, apologise and correct the record without delay.
There is an increasing tendency for ministers and the Prime Minister to mislead Parliament, and so the public, without any formal redress. This erodes the public's trust in our institutions.
