Introduce self defence classes as part of the national curriculum
Self defence should be added to the national curriculum so our young people can be taught how to defend themselves if they ever in a desperate situation where they need to.
With violent and sexual crime being so high we need to know that our young people can defend themselves safely.
Approximately 85,000 women and 12,000 men (aged 16 - 59) experience rape, attempted rape or sexual assault in England and Wales alone every year; that's roughly 11 of the most serious sexual offences every hour.
Self defence is a Human Right so why aren’t we taught how to defend ourselves?
