Prioritise cancer patients for 2nd dose of vaccine 3 weeks after 1st dose
Emerging research suggests cancer patients, particularly those with blood cancer, do not get adequate protection from just a single vaccine dose unless their 2nd dose is given within the original manufacturers advised 3 week time frame. Prioritise those most at risk of hospitalisation from covid
Ensure the NHS does not become overwhelmed again by ensuring those most at risk from serious complications from covid and even death, are urgently prioritised for their 2nd vaccine dose 3 weeks after their first dose.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise.
The planned delay to receiving the second dose of a Covid-19 vaccine has been implemented by the NHS following advice from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI), which advises UK health departments on immunisation. This advice has also been supported by the UK's four Chief Medical Officers.
Any changes to the planned timing of second doses for specific groups would be a decision for the NHS, the JCVI and the Chief Medical Officers, who are operationally independent of the UK Government, so we cannot accept petitions calling for actions that these bodies are responsible for.
