Improve education on consent and respect for women & women’s safety issues
Implement a better curriculum on rape culture and educate and prevent sexual harassment and assault of women
The 97% of women aged 18-24 in the U.K. faced sexual harassment statistic is disgusting but sadly not surprising. It’s not a personal issue, it’s a societal issue and most, if not all women have at least one story of a time where a man made them feel uncomfortable. Daughters shouldn’t have to be protected, sons should be educated, and I feel improved education is one of the key steps to tackle this issue

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The Government's new Relationships and Sex Education curriculum, which is mandatory in all state schools from this year, requires that students are now taught about key aspects of the law relating to sex, which include the age of consent, what consent is and is not, the definitions and recognition of rape, sexual assault and harassment, and that sexual violence and sexual harassment are not acceptable: www.gov.uk/government/publications/relationships-education-relationships-and-sex-education-rse-and-health-education/relationships-and-sex-education-rse-secondary
