Allow UK citizens to carry forms of pepper spray for self defence purposes
under current UK legislation members of the public are not permitted to carry any forms of pepper spray ( pava,CS,etc)
As these tools are non lethal and have low risks of complications there is no reason why free citizens with no criminal record should be prohibited from carrying these in public
The UK has some of the strictest Weapon Possession laws in the world and with good reason.
However myself and many other citizens in the UK face extreme risk when met with criminal violence and no practical means of defending ourselves and believe this would prove a much needed reassurance.
