Do not accept the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill 2021
We demand this bill to be rejected.
The Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill 2021 seeks to give police greater authority during protests, which given the events of the past 12 months inspires zero confidence that this will benefit the safety of protestors.
In light of the events of Clapham Common on 13th March, it would be insensitive to give police greater authority when we have seen it first hand that many officers can't be trusted to enforce the law in a professional sense.
