To stop the proposed Female Offender centre development in Bridgend & Porthcawl
To stop the proposed Ministry of Justice plans to house women offenders in a newly-designed offenders residential unit. Both on Porthcawl waterfront at the Atlantic Hotel, or at Sunnyside House in Bridgend Town.
We understand the need for one of these facilities in Wales but we believe that Bridgend is unsuitable. Due to the fact that we already have a number of similar facilities and to add another would be to the detriment of both residents and the offenders.

Since you started your petition Bridgend County Borough Council has stated that a representative of the Ministry for Justice has confirmed they will not be submitting planning applications for a new Wales Residential Women’s Centre at Sunnyside House in Bridgend town centre or the Atlantic Hotel in Porthcawl.
